The NOREPS solutions

NOREPS has been designed to provide UN and non-UN humanitarian actors with key emergency operation components:

• Relief Products and Services
  NOREPS’s relief products and services are crucial tools for establishing and running emergency operations. The NOREPS system encompasses approximately 75 different products, grouped into eight categories. All products have to meet stringent quality standards, and are all tested under tough conditions in the field. The products are kept in store and ready for quick dispatch.
• Personnel
  NOREPS includes the world's first civilian standby force of trained personnel, NORCAP, offering a wide range of skills. The force is comprised of volunteers from about 25 different professions, ready for immediate deployment. The volunteers are on standby for rapid deployment. The fact that the standby force is already trained enables deployment within 72 hours.
• Service Packages
  NOREPS offers a set of four main types of service packages, designed as integrated systems that combine the most suitable relief products with highly qualified personnel. Service packages are developed in close cooperation with major UN agencies, and are compatible with the service packages of the main international humanitarian actors, delivered within 72 hours of notice.
