NOREPS - Stockpiling

NOREPS relies on the availability of suitable products and services. NOREPS partner companies commit to stock approved products and to deliver them to an international airport within 24 hours of request from their own premises in Norway.

NOREPS’s product stocks ensure the ready availability of essential goods. The fact that a wide range of products are kept at each warehouse/depot enables the efficient and cost-effective dispatch of a range of vital items at the same time. Partners replace products immediately.

NOREPS partners also maintain stocks of essential products at a warehouse in Oslo (Norway) and at depots run by the UN, the Red Cross and NGOs. The main depot is located in Brindisi (Italy) and Dubai the United Nations Humanitarian Response Depot - UNHRD. Further UNHRD-depots are maintained in at-risk areas in Subang, Malaysia, Accra, Ghana and Panama.

Availability is, of course, the key factor and the warehouses can easily be reached as follows:

• United Nations bodies and Non-governmental organizations may request relief commodities directly from the supplier’s warehouses and the “one stop shop” in Oslo by contacting the Norwegian companies directly.
  
  
• Relief items from the OCHA relief stocks in UNHRD, Brindisi by sending an e-mail to Ms. Isabelle de Muyser Boucher e-mail: demuyser-boucher@un.org and Mr. Luigi Bruno e-mail: brunol@un.org with copy to UNHRD, Brindisi Mr. Giuseppe Saba: giuseppe.saba@wfp.org 
  
  
• The Norwegian Church Aid (NCA) operates a stock on behalf of NOREPS in UNHRD in Dubai. A request form should be sent directly to:
  Unhrd_CustomerService@wfp.org  and logistics@nca.no
  The request should include: Consignee - billing address as well as terms of delivery. Items taken from any depot should be settled through NCA or replenished at no cost to Norwegian Church Aid (NCA) as soon as possible.
  NCA Oslo will release the items by notifications to World Food Program /Customer Service UNHRD.
